So summer is officially here and it feels so good to see the sun shining and enjoy relaxing summer days. However, if you are a work from home Mom it also means that your children are home from school and you now need to do some negotiating and rearranging a bit to get your work done and keep the kiddos happy.
Last year I discovered this great tip that helped my summer go a lot smoother!
We do not have our own pool but our town does have a wonderful one available to use with the purchase of a season pass, and let me tell you it was worth every penny!! I’m able to work in the morning and if the boys are good I take them to the pool in the afternoon, it’s a great incentive for good behavior and it gives us all something to look forward to! And because there are lifeguards on duty if I need to make a quick call or finish up something I can do that while I sit by and watch them.
Even if your town doesn’t have a great pool like ours, the bigger tip here is to check with your local Parks & Recs department (or Town Library) they often offer many low cost or free activities that you and your children can participate in and enjoy.
See you at the pool!
