I live in New England, and one of the many things I love about living here are the four seasons, especially the change from winter to spring! Such a refreshing time of the year, out with the drab, cold, dreariness of winter and in with the blossoming buds, fresh spring air, and a chance to venture outside more without bundling up.
Today was the first day that I actually got to open the windows in my house, even if just a crack. The slight breeze and fresh air feels so invigorating, and it got me to thinking about you Superstars…what ways can we open the windows in your business to let the fresh air in? What tasks have you been buried under, like the many layers of winter clothes? What can we shed off to get you feeling light, refreshed and renewed in your business?
Some ways we open the windows and let fresh air come into your business:
- Social media: it’s a powerful way to connect with your customers, sharing your products and specials with an immediate connection to your audience can get you excited about your business again.
- Customer Appreciation: sending out a campaign of greeting cards to your customers just to say “thanks” or “happy spring” is a fun and refreshing way to connect with your customers.
- Contact Management: going through your customer list, clearing them out and then putting them into a database system, may not sound like a lot of fun initially, but like spring cleaning, once you’ve lightened your list, get clear on your core customers and have them put into a manageable system, you will be excited to see what you’ve found and ready to reach out to them.
“If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant; if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome.” ~Anne Bradstreet
These are just a few ways to get started, a few simple steps towards getting back to your bliss, that is what spring and working with The Golden Rule VA are all about!
Happy Spring, my friend!
I love the change of seasons — ALL of them. And your image of “spring cleaning” really fits where I am today. It’s a wonderful prompt to look at things with a fresh eye.
As a solo-preneur, I know the details you speak of are very important. I also know that once they get away from me I can feel overwhelmed and demoralized… sapping energy from the creative parts of my work.
I’m SO excited about the new services that I’m able to offer…. and can say that I surely would not have felt free enough to build the new website without you keeping so many of those important details in line and out of my head!
Thanks for doing what you do so well. 🙂
Andrea,
Thank you so much! It’s such a pleasure to be able to help support you and all the amazing things you do! Watching what you’ve been able to create is absolutely awe-inspiring! Looking forward to many more seasons with you!
Happy Spring!
